Good Vibes, Good Lives By Vex King
A beautifully designed book full of inspiring quotes and tried-and-tested wisdom on using positivity to create a life you love.
This initial part of the book was extremely interesting. I strive to remain aware of how certain foods affect me and why. This provided a greater insight into the waves within foods which was something that I had not previously spent much time on. For me, the foods that have the highest vibrations (and Vex shared are the best for us) seem to be the Meditteranean diet. Eventually, I can see myself cutting out a lot of Non-veg and dairy. I guess that sadly enough, chocolate also will be part of that list.
This book provided some nice perspective and a number of great ideas. While it was not really our favorite book, we highly appreciated the insights that the author shared and clearly saw how much of an impact these values had on him throughout this life. We can overcome greater difficulties and accomplish greater things if we alter and improve our perspective, mindset, and belief system. Well, what are we waiting for? Good vibes, good life.
Slow By Brook McAlary
Brooke McAlary is well-known in the slow living community, the author of Destination Simple, and the creator of the Slow Home Podcast where she’s interviewed more than 100 people about what it means to live a slower life.
In simple terms, Brooke says, “This book is about how you can choose to slow down.” At the end of the book, she makes it clear that the book’s mission is to give an introductory overview of slow living and the importance of finding your own “why.”
The “hows” must come from you. There’s a clear theme that the “hows” require you to take action and “do the work.” It’s beautiful and one great pick on books for inspiration and growth, which can be SLOW!
Mindset By Benjamin Smith
While your mind is a very powerful organ, if you don’t harness its full potential, then you will not live the kind of life you desire. Think about it. When your mind believes that you are already defeated, no amount of practice or training can make you believe otherwise.
In fact, even when people keep telling you that you can do it when your mind thinks you can’t, you won’t make any significant progress in whatever it is you wanted to do. So in essence, the secret to success in life lies in harnessing the power of the mind. If you are fully aware of that but find it hard to use your mind’s unlimited power to unleash your full potential, this book will help you to achieve just that.
If you are looking for actionable information on how to harness the power of the mind to transform yourself. We definitely recommend these books for inspiration which will teach you how to unleash the full power of your mindset to transform your life.
The Happiness Trap By Dr. Russ Harris
The most typical way we struggle with anxiety, depression, and pain is to try to fight, change, and resist these states.
The Happiness Trap explains why our “fighting” strategies actually make us much worse off and it presents a radical alternative: No more fighting. The book is not about making happy thoughts. It gives the reader a set of simple exercises that enable us to become more aware of our harshest thoughts and feelings, more able to defang and defuse these thoughts and feelings, and ultimately to even accept these thoughts and feelings, so we can ultimately break free of them and take valued action in the world.
The Happiness Trap is on our list of Best Books for Inspiration and growth, we want you to take your time with this book. You can save yourself and not hundreds of dollars in dysfunctional cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychoanalysis but also the heartache of seeing another treatment fail. And also, the time spent wondering what is wrong with you.

Author’s Pick
Lost Connections By Johann Hari
Award-winning journalist Johann Hari suffered from depression since he was a child and started taking antidepressants when he was a teenager. He was told, like his entire generation, that his problem was caused by a chemical imbalance in his brain. As an adult, trained in the social sciences, he began to investigate this question. And he learned that almost everything we have been told about depression and anxiety is wrong.
His books for inspiration are a must-have.
