UNACCEPTABLE TRAITS OF INDIAN MEN.
If you are a woman that too an Indian woman, I am pretty sure you have a mental list of traits that you HATE about your father, brother, partner or any male in your life. Not to point out the obvious but each one us has experienced men in our lives going all alpha male on us. All of these things that we maturely let go off, believing it is genetically induced in them is without any doubt SUPER IRRITATING. Right ladies?
All those books, movies that so conveniently claim that we women are complex to understand and figuratively impossible to satisfy.. are nothing but a bunch of lies. The only reason that such stuff exists out there is that nobody actually tried attacking men and writing a thesis about their all “Too difficult to comprehend puzzles for personalities”. Women just tragically became a hot topic for “not-so-experts” to deliver their “not-so-wanted viewpoints”.
Here I have listed a few of the most annoying traits of Indian men. Check them out!
1. THE “J” FACTOR:-
Indian men have this tendency to get super jealous about any and everything concerning their women. Not that women like their men getting all mushy possessive. But sometimes this possessiveness gets way too out of hand and quite unbearable. What bothers us, women, more is that our possessiveness is treated “being clingy”. This is offending in so many ways.
2. BEEN THERE, DONE THAT..MAXED OUT!!
Indian men, be it your dad, uncle, boyfriend or even your brother, all of them are good at this one thing, letting you know that they have a sh*tload experience about any and everything. They have this way of showing their “ Mr. know-it-all” and “been there, done that” side every time you intend to talk about something. I don’t know about you, but I get quite irritated with all this stuff.
3. THE SUBTLE ART OF IGNORING.
The one thing that annoys us, women, the most is when we are ignored and left unheard. Indian men have a master’s degree in the subtle art of ignoring. They think that it is alright to continue with whatever they are doing and pretend that they are the only ones in the room. This happens all the time like when he is watching some cricket match on the tv and conveniently ignores whatever you are saying to him like you do not really exist. If he doing this gets on your nerves, believe me, sister, it is totally normal.
4. ALPHA-MALE :-
Indian men and their need to be all alpha-male for the women around them dates back to ages ago. Remember the times when women were all fragile and needed protection from the cruel cruel world. Well, it is not that time anymore. The present generation knows how to protect themselves. But Indian men were wired that way from the very beginning and have no scope of possible changes. Not that women like spineless men but I’m pretty sure that most women do not like men overpowering them either. Women of today believe in equal partnership in any relationship. But men in their life be it her father, brother or her partner, so easily neglect her confidence and believe that it is their prime duty to protect her by not acknowledging her powers.
5. THE “NOT RESPECTING” PART:-
Is it so hard to understand that women just like men have aspirations, needs or self-worth?
Besides everything, it gets ugly for the women where men treat us like “nothing”. The part where these Indian men believe that women are made just for the chores of the house. Or the part where they think that they joking about us in front of their friends is in ANY POSSIBLE way funny. Or even the part where they think that they have the ultimate authority to decide for us or treat our dreams, thoughts or aspirations as rubble. It is not the women empowerment part that I am talking about here but the HUMAN RIGHTS part that gets limited to these men In India, in practice.
Call it arrogance or male chauvinism, the male ego just doesn’t allow a woman to participate in key issues in the family. Men seldom realize that it’s the housewife who has the most difficult job in the world: waking up early, preparing breakfast, getting the children ready for school, preparing lunch, cleaning up the mess at home and so much more. Even before they can some rest, the doorbell would ring and the children are back from school. Then, the routine again, and by the end of the day, they were tired. Women in the family are the last to sleep and the first to wake up. Sometimes, even during a crisis in the family or when there is a dispute, it’s the lady of the house that stands rock solid to calm things down and face challenges head-on.
Some men are so indoctrinated that they sincerely believe that other than cooking and cleaning the only thing that a woman can do better than them is being a woman.
Time has changed way too much but Indian men still struggle with the accepting part, which is sad news.
