Science of Indian Scientists And Their Achievements

Science is used in day-to-day life frequently and we are in – charge of spreading the word as it is a beautiful gift to humanity.

India has great men in the field of religion as well as in the field of science. The gems in the branch of science contributed to the development of the nation through their inventions. In the 1800s science evolved on a global scale while India progressed in the 1900s. There are numerous sections in the sphere of science that are explored by man today.

Fields Of Science
                                                            Various Branches Of Science

Nektan is a company that develops and provides gaming software for mobile and online casinos. They have a wide selection of games including slots, roulette and blackjack. Nektan also works with many partners in the gambling industry to expand their availability in the market. The company is licensed and certified to conduct gambling activities by several regulators.

A scientist is someone who explores the secrets of the universe. Like most occupations in India, the field of science is very much male-headed but women too surfed through the waves and sailed their ship. The discoveries of science are always inspiring and refreshing as a result,

Here’s a list of 7 Indian scientists who received acknowledgment globally:-

  1. Vikram Sarabhai:-

Scientific honor
                                                      Vikram Sarabhai

Adoringly called the “Father of the Indian Space Program”, Vikram Sarabhai was a progressive man known for his contributions in the field of space science. The scientist keenly showed interest in science and mathematics. He began inspecting cosmic rays at the Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) post his higher education. Being curious and strongly committed to his work, he announced his first scientific paper within the biennial. Recognizing the need for valuable research organizations in the freshly liberated country, he favored building the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) located in Ahmedabad. He also performed a significant role in the construction of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the largest government space agency throughout the world. Sarabhai, for his excellency in space science, was decorated and with two of India’s most honorable awards:-  The Padma Bhushan and The Padma Vibhushan in the years 1966 &1972 respectively.

  1. C. V. Raman:-

Science and light
                                           C.V. Raman

Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, an Indian physicist is recognized for his excellence in the field of light-scattering. Along with his student K. S. Krishnan, he devised the theory that when light transmits a see-through i.e transparent material, some of the deflected light alters its wavelength and amplitude. This sight of scattering of light was pristine (unseen) and was thereafter dubbed as the ‘Raman effect’ or The Raman Scattering. In 1930, Raman received the Nobel Prize in the field of Physics. He is the foremost Asian figure to win a Nobel Prize in the sphere of science.

  1. Venkatraman Radhakrishnan:

Scientist
                                     Venkatraman Radhakrishnan

During his period, Venkatraman Radhakrishnan was one of the immensely admired Radio Astronomers in the world, Radhakrishnan’s benefaction to the field of science and astronomy in specific was remarkable. His monitoring and theoretical perception assisted the community in unfolding various puzzles in the neighboring pulsars (star emitting electromagnetic radiation), interstellar clouds (combination of dust and gases), galaxy layouts, and different celestial bodies. He was a representative at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

  1. DR. Homi Bhabha:-

Scientific innovator
                                             DR. Homi Bhabha

Homi Jehangir Bhabha was an exceptional physicist of nuclear science. He was the maker and Physics academician at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He is vernacularly recognized as ‘Father of the Indian Nuclear Programme’. Bhabha is the mastermind behind the Atomic Energy Establishment established in Trombay. In his esteem and notability, the site is now re-named as the ‘Bhabha Atomic Research Centre’. He quoted My success will not depend on what A or B thinks of me. My success will be what I make of my work.”

  1. DR. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam:-

Gem of science world
                                                DR. A.P.J. Kalam

Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, an Indian played a pivotal role in conducting the nuclear test, “Pokhran – 2” after the ones carried out in1974. He played a meticulous position not only in the technological sphere but also at the political level during the nuclear tests. The press’s coverage undoubtedly shaped Kalam and his efforts throughout the tests which designated him the supreme nuclear scientist of the state. On the scientist’s demise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi quoted, “Kalam’s death is a great loss to the scientific community. He took India to great heights. He showed the way.”

  1. Anandibai Joshee:

Science

Anandibai Gopalrao Joshee was the former and the leading female scientist the nation witnessed. She practiced western medical technologies and their medicines and was entitled as the first ‘Female Physician’ of the country. Anandibai was encouraged to pursue a career in a medical post she suffered the loss of her newly born child. She departed to Pennsylvania for higher education and then practiced in Kolhapur (Maharashtra, India). Joshee not only attained prestige at the international level but also engraved hopes in the hearts of millions of women. She gives us a lesson that we should never give up and always uplift ourselves. No matter how hard life hits, we should always face the odds.

7. Kamala Sohonie :-

Female Scientist
Kamala Sohonie

Kamala .M. Sohonie was the first Indian biochemist to receive a Ph.D. Degree in the field of science. She was given the consent to accelerating her research by Prof C.V. Raman, whom she assisted in her early days. Sohonie explored nutritive food variables, their effects, and what actually does Indians consume. Her notability resides in unlocking the benefits of “Neera” (palm extract). Kamala was honored with The Rashtrapati Award. Her excellence and dedication floored the way for females to make their stand in science.

Scientists
                       Gems Of India

The world is moving ahead in the sphere of technology and the vigilance of humans towards science is increasing over the period. India has evolved and is developing in sectors like Natural Sciences, Medical & Health Sciences, Engineering & Technological, Agricultural Sciences, and Social Sciences.

DR A.P.J. Kalam quoted, “India should walk on her own shadow – we must have our own development model.”

The famous scientists of India and their achievements are honored broadly and give each one of us heart-warming emotions. Looking forward to many more proud steps to be followed!
