Well, weren’t all of us dedicated the same way, to the only love of our lives back then?

The finest way to travel down the clusters of memories is, throwing it way back to our most favorite TV shows. I mean, who doesn’t miss secretly shipping Richie Rich and Gloria. And, who wouldn’t still wanna get back to imitating the red ranger? Or, wanting the magical shaka laka boom boom pencil? (I’m already having goosebumps, don’t you too?)

 

TV shows have played a vital role in our lives. Ever since we were kids, they’ve held us strong. Right from shaping our mindsets to letting us enjoy even on our bad days.

And nostalgia still hits home, every time we read or see anything related to our 90s love.

 

Hence, we’re here with the list of the most phenomenal TV shows that we, you, or anybody among us will never forget –

 

• SARABHAI VS SARABHAI

Still regarded as one of the greatest comedy sitcoms from the 90s era. This TV show has left its mark on almost everybody. The quintessential upper-class family, the luxury, the drama, and the humor.

You know you’re from the Sarabhai era if you relate to the “Monisha beta this is too middle class” meme a little too much.

 

•     SHAKA LAKA BOOM BOOM

This TV show made us want the magical pencil in our lives the most. It became an escape from reality for us. Therefore, we’d wait for the next episodes with great enthusiasm and eagerness. The friends’ group, the adventures, the fun, and the humanistic approach of Sanju, it was indeed like a roller coaster ride.

Did you ever buy a pencil like the one in the show and wish for it to do the magic too?

 

• TOM AND JERRY

Right from having goosebumps at the roar of the lion in the introduction, to the weird thought of  ‘I could see Tom’s owner’s face if we had a bigger television’. We all grew up, and how.

Tom and Jerry have been a perfect example of ‘teri meri banti nahi, tere siwa meri chalti nahi’ type of friendships.

 

• M.A.D

The ONLY DIY TV show of our times. Full of cool magic tricks and interesting art projects. This took us on an exploration of our creativity. In addition, even we tended to learn everything, in one episode a day.

Fun Fact – I never remembered the full form of M.A.D was Music, Art, and Dance.

 

•  F.R.I.E.N.D.S

The story of six reckless adults living in Manhattan. The only TV show which served different meals on one table to us. Right from shipping Ross and Rachel to believing Joey deserved better. From Janice’s Oh My God to Chandler’s effortless sarcasm. From Monica’s weight loss to Phoebe’s smelly cat. And from Gunther to the Central perk.

We can go on with this and it’d still feel as if there’s so much more.

Oh, and by the way, Chandler’s full name was Chandler MURIEL Bing.

• RICHIE RICH

After watching this TV show, we all had only one fantasy.

To become a millionaire overnight and have limitless opportunities for fun and adventure. Likewise, Richie’s life.

Richie Rich is one of those innovative TV shows that never failed to bring a broad smile to our faces.

 

• TAKESHI’S CASTLE

Who doesn’t miss Javed Jaffery’s remarkable commentary on this TV show?

Every time we saw dozens of contestants, throw themselves into a variety of daunting physical challenges, as they attempted to win. We learned how it is okay to fall and come back stronger and better. In other words, we learned that failures are a part and parcel of our lives.

 

• POWER RANGERS

Throwback to the times, when you’d get super excited every time you listened to ‘Go Go Power Rangers.’

And to the good old days, when you imitated your phones to be power ranger morphers.

The TV show where five ordinary teens become superheroes, as they use incredible powers to save the world. Right from SPD to Dino Fury. And above all, this also made us understand, what teamwork means.
