2. Maa Vaishno Devi Temple, Katra
The Vaishno Devi temple is an important Hindu temple located in the foothills of the Himalayas. This temple being the richest in India attracts millions of devotees each year. Diwali and Navaratri are the two most prominent festivals celebrated here. Devotees trek around 12 km to reach the temple.
3. Meenakshi Temple, Madurai

The famous Vishnu temple is one of the Char Dham pilgrimages of India. The temple is located in Gharwal hill tracks in the Chamoli district along the banks of the Alaknanda River at an elevation of 3133m above the mean sea level.
6. Dwarkadeesh Temple, Dwarka
The Dwarka famous religious spot is also known as the Jagat Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Krishna. He is known as the ‘ King of Dwarka’. The temple layout consists of a garbhagriha and an antarala. The temple was rebuilt by Raja Jagat Singh Rathore in the 16th century.
7. Jagannath Temple, Puri
The famous temple of Odhisa attracts thousands of devotees of Lord Jagannath (Vishnu). The Puri temple is famous for its annual Rath Yatra. The main entrance of the temple is through Singhadwara located on the eastern front of the temple with three other entrances along the four cardinal directions. The main temple is constructed in such a way that no shadow of the temple falls on the ground at any time of the day.

The temple is situated in the hill town of Tirumala at Tirupati in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Venkateswara Temple is constructed in Dravidian Architecture. The temple follows the Vaikhanasa Agama tradition of worship and it is the richest temple in the world in terms of donation received and wealth.
9.Virupaksha Temple,Hampi
The Virupaksha Temple in Hampi is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is acknowledged as one of the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO. This temple was constructed under Lakkana Dandesha’s assistance who was a commander under King Dev Raya II. The temple is dedicated to Lord Virupaksha, an avatar of Lord Shiva, and dates to the 7th century.

The famous Sun Temple is attributed to king Naraismhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty about 1250 CE. Konark Temple is depicted on the reverse side of the Indian currency note of Rs 10 to signify its importance to Indian heritage. The Sun temple belongs to the Kalingan school of Indian temple architecture. According to folklore, there was a diamond in the center of the idol which reflected the sun rays that passed and thus alignment of the Sun temple is along the east-west direction
11. Mukteshwara Temple, Bhubaneswar.
Mukteshvara signifies “Lord of Freedom”. This 10th-century temple is dedicated to lord shiva is located in Bhubaneswar, Odhisa. The temple is built under Kalinga Architecture. It is one of the prominent tourist attractions of the city.
12. Ramnathswamy Temple, Rameshwaram
This is the Hindu temple dedicated to the god Shiva and expanded during the 12th century by Pandya Dynasty. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas temples. The temple has the longest corridor among all Hindu temples in India.
