This one’s a classic. Everyone’s heard it. Even the ones living under a rock. If you haven’t heard it, I don’t know what to tell you except listen to it ASAP.

Perfect- Ed Sheeran

This is more or less a contemporary version of Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. Different melody, same theme.  With his soulful voice, Ed Sheeran sings about how perfect his fiancé/lover looks in her dress. 

Listening to Sheeran sing the words “I don’t deserve this” while looking at her, as  they dance “barefoot on the grass” may make you a little teary-eyed or get you choked up on emotion, but that’s alright. We’ve all been there.

Remember what it felt like to be in love in highschool? Young love is hard, isn’t it? Especially when it’s one-sided. This one is straight up the alley of one-sided lovers. This song falls under the gospel genre. But don’t let that stop you from listening to this absolutely reckless manifestation of empyrean love. The bridge of this song is bound to sweep you off of your feet, and that’s a guarantee. This is an awkward and shy, yet, one of the sweetest declarations of love you’ll ever hear. To give you an example, in one section of the song, the artist forgets what color eyes his lover has. After a while of fumbling and apologizing for it, he goes on to sing “anyway the thing is, what I really mean…yours are the sweetest eyes I’ve ever seen”. 

If that doesn’t melt one’s heart, I don’t know what will. 

This song reminds us how pure and innocent loving someone can be.

Endless love- Lionel Richie

We began with a classic, so it only makes sense to end it with a classic. Here we have a timeless duet between Lionel Richie and Diana Ross.

Originally released in 1981, this song has quite a notable number of remakes and covers. We think it’s worth the mention that there’s a very short cover of this song by Chandler and Phoebe, from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. You can find Chandler singing along to this song, quite heartbrokenly after being dumped by Janice. And Phoebe being Phoebe, walks in on him and starts singing along. It’s a sad moment, but we all know it works out quite well for him.
