2) Fan
We say so much about Bollywood remaking stuff from south of Hollywood. When a movie like Fan was made no one cared. A fan’s dedication towards a star transforming into toxic obsession, with both the fan and the star played by the same actor. If this isn’t unique and new, I don’t have the foggiest idea of what is. I do agree that screenplay wise, there were flaws towards the second half but it didn’t deserve so much bashing from the critics.
SRK as Gaurav was a performance of a lifetime. We all know how toxic hero-worship is in our country and the heights each fan goes to prove their love for their favourite star. We feel terrible for Gaurav when Aryan excuses him yet we likewise feel that he’s crossed a line. 4) Swades
You can take an Indian out of India, but you can never take India out of an Indian. Swades is a story of Indian based NASA scientist Mohan Bhargav who returns to its homeland. Swades deals with real-life problems such as hunger, poverty, lack of resources which showed the reality of rural India.
Ashutosh Gowariker’s Swades was way ahead of its time and later on, it was declared as a cult. If we ever make a list of finest SRK movies, the list would be incomplete without this gem.

5) Baadshah
SRK dazzled everyone with his cleverly analytical abilities and comical timing in Baadshah.
