Ways to See if the Honey You Bought is Pure or Adulterated
Some ways to find out if honey is pure or adulterated are as follows:
- Stickiness: Pure honey won’t be sticky as there are no added preservatives.
- Thickness: Honey will have its consistency.
- Taste: In impure honey the sweetness remains because of added sugars where as in pure honey the taste will get altered.
- Dissolving Method: Adulterated honey will dissolve in the water while pure honey will settle at the bottom of the glass.
The reason to which Indian brands of honey are impure is due to the quantity which becomes more important than quality.

Very Good. Informative.
Dear Nishika
I like your article and its quite true. Is there a way to know the purity/quality of the honey before you purchase it rather than having to buy it and try out the necessary experiments. Is there any indicators on the label like composition or nutrition information which would indicate how pure it is.
Kind regards
Ernie
