What made the owner stand out was his panipuri recipe. It is because he used the best Sindhi puris and figured out how to make the seasonings trail in the customers’ mouth. Moreover, in those days, he used bottled water! His focus was on vending hygienic food even though it was on a cart.
Here’s a fun fact! The ELCO panipuri center has a branch in Dubai as well. They won an award from Times of India for the best catering service in the country in the chaat category. Deena Kashi Ganesh Chaat – Varanasi
For those who did not know. Varanasi’s panipuri and chaat are better than the overrated Delhi’s panipuri. The famous Masterchef judge, Ranveer Brar once put up an exclusive show showcasing Varanasi’s Chaat and Panipuris.
If you visit Varanasi, do not forget to visit the three famous brothers, Deena, Kashi, and Ganesh Chaat. They sell the exclusive panipuri flavor restricted only to Varanasi.
As far as my opinion is concerned, panipuri is basically what you call a tangy ball, filled with mashed chickpeas and potatoes fillings. Dipped in tangy and spicy water to make a blast in our mouths.
All the above-mentioned golgappa joints are famous for their classical panipuris. Nutella and pizza panipuris may sound interesting. But the real essence of panipuri lies in the chickpeas filled balls dipped in Jaljeera. They are meant to relieve the scorching heat in north-indian summers. Any other variations may not be called a ‘Panipuri’.
Let’s eat!
