Manmohan Singh is a private person. The former prime minister of India is often regarded as a man of few words. His life is even more of a mystery! But the life of the former PM of a nation of over 1.2 billion people cannot be a hush-hush affair! So here is an economist who became the Prime Minister of India. And without any political background and take India one step closer to become a developed country. Man of commitment | It’s hard to believe the level of commitment this man has! The first prime minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru offered him to join the government in 1962. This he declined as he did not want to dishonor his commitment to teaching at his college in Amritsar! Yes, such men still exist!

Most qualified Prime minister of the world | Owing to his emphasis on education, he has achieved many awards. With 14 honorary degrees, ranging from Doctor of Civil Law, Doctor of Social Sciences to Doctorate of Letters, and many more, Dr. Manmohan Singh is easily the most erudite Prime Minister of the world!

News addict | Manmohan Singh listens to the BBC every day! This habit helped him respond instantly to the 2004 tsunami. And this is even before the disaster management officials alerted th PMO! Hence, we can safely say, he was never off duty!
