Robert Nesta Marley popularly known as Bob Marley was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, and musician. He was born in 1945 and started his journey in music in 1963. While in junior high school, Marley and his childhood friend Bunny Wailer started to play music together. After moving to Trenchtown, Marley soon found himself in a vocal group. He was the founder of the band “Bob Marley and the Wailers”. Marley’s first show had an audience of 500 people and it went on escalating and never stopped. Marley introduced reggae music to the world and he was also awarded with “Rolling Stone” band of the year, 1976. Grammy lifetime achievement award, 2001. In 2014, Forbes Magazine listed Marley as fifth on the list of highest-earning dead celebrities. He was also known for world ambassador for reggae music. He also received a lot of other achievements.
He didn’t finish his high school, yet he became a mentor for generations. There’s no soul left untouched by his words and his songs. He had a mystic vibe which attracted people to his music. He kept the fire burning till the end. Marley was diagnosed with skin cancer, sadly he passed away too soon at 36. On his 75th birthday anniversary, a YouTube series was released on his YouTube channel called “Legacy”. The series got a huge response from all over the world.
After decades of his passing, he is still inspiring new generations. Also he’s the most beloved artist to this day.
