Differences between Dog People and Cat People: After uncountable number of statistics, analysis and polls (both offline and online), it appears that pet owners, or pet people, are divided into two main categories namely, Cat people and Dog people. From the aforementioned ways, it had been derived that dogs are much more likable than cats. The statistics might bore you. There enough and sound evidence to believe that the preference of dogs or cats maybe connected to some deep and unnoticeable personality differences.
Before we go ahead, let’s look at the habits and traits of both the animals that have been carried out from the time before domestication. In the wild, cats were and are solitary hunters who are active in the night. Whereas wild canines are the sociable hunters who roam around, or hunt in groups or packs. For example, tigers, from the cat family, hunt alone and wolves, member of the dog family, hunt in packs.

Around the year of 2010, Sam Gosling, a psychologist a
t the University of Texas, conducted an online survey, asking around 5,000 participants whether they were dog people, cat people, both or neither. The results showed promising statistics and analysis for this research.
Now the details can get really boring. But the gist is, that people who like dogs are like dogs. Outgoing, friendly, cute and mostly happy. People who like cats, may appear judgemental and crude.
It’s not anyone’s place to judge but it is what it is.
Now, there are benefits to being a cat person. We live in a world where it’s hombre for themselves. Research shows that cat people seem to be okay with being alone. More or less, they enjoy being alone. Whereas dog people, no matter how much they claim to be okay, they need friends.
Also, there are people who hate cats, and love dogs and there are people who hate dogs and love cats. Don’t let the pop culture fool you, cat people are as interesting and fun to be around as dog people.
I have a few friends who are exciting and fun to be around.
What we see in the movies and sitcoms, are exaggerated versions of what’s real. Cat people maybe a little judgemental, but are found to survive better at solo events and circumstances.
Dog people may appear cute and cuddly, but they have a pathological need to be there for someone. Some times be clingy.
